There is a crisis in rural healthcare which is now touching Opotiki.
Partly triggered by an international shortage of doctors, by changing attitudes to and standards of health care provision, and a recognition that overwork is killing our health care service there have been some dramatic changes in the way our community acesses out of hours care. There is NO PHARMACY in Opotiki on Sundays.
